What is Polished Concrete?
A polished concrete floor is a more natural looking alternative to epoxy flooring. It is a more classic take on a traditional floor that still provides a durable, simplistic look to any business or home. The polished sheen is achieved through the use of a grinding machine with progressively finer diamond tipped grinding discs to give the surface a beautiful smooth appearance. The surface is then sealed and buffed to a shine.
Benefits of Polished Concrete
Environmentally Friendly
No harsh chemicals are present when in comes to polished concrete. It is a safe non toxic floor that still resists mold and mildew.
Affordable
An extremely cost effective floor as there is no additional materials (i.e. tile, wood, epoxy etc.) that could increase cost. The floor is simply grinded down to smooth finish and sealed.
Longevity
As long as the concrete remains present so will the floor nearly indefinitely with proper care. The top layer will always be able to be refinished and sealed if needed.
Simplistic
A straight forward traditional floor that looks great in all types of areas.
Color Options
Similar to epoxy, polished floors can be customized with the addition of dyes to change the color and look of a space to meet your needs. Multiple colors can be used in tandem to create endless possibilities.
